Assured Guaranty Corp (AGC), a subsidiary of Assured Guaranty, has appointed Steven Kahn as Senior Managing Director, Structured Finance.
Assured Guaranty Corp (AGC), a subsidiary of Assured Guaranty, has appointed Steven Kahn as Senior Managing Director, Structured Finance. The group will be led by Kahn along with Managing Director Dan Bevill, who has been part of Assured Guaranty’s structured finance team for 15 years. Both of them will report to Nick Proud, Senior Managing Director of Assured Guaranty’s International and Structured Finance businesses.

Assured Guaranty’s structured finance group underwrites financial guarantees in a range of financial sectors, including asset-backed securities, insurance securitisation, collateralised loan obligations (CLOs), structured municipal financings and aviation finance. It also offers financial guarantees as a solution to assist banks and insurance companies in managing their capital more efficiently.
Bevill says: “Steve knows our markets, and he knows our business, having spent 12 years of his early career at an Assured Guaranty company, and we are very excited to welcome Steve back. We are committed to giving our structured finance clients the best possible service, and Steve’s qualifications are ideal for that effort.”

Kahn has 25 years of experience in the structured finance business. Prior to joining Assured Guaranty in 2019, he was a Managing Director in the Structured Products Group at Mizuho Securities and before that, he spent five years as President and Executive Officer of Invicta Capital (a subsidiary of MassMutual). Kahn spent 12 years at Financial Security Assurance (now Assured Guaranty Municipal) where he underwrote structured finance transactions and was Managing Director of the Global Pooled Corporate business. Kahn started his career as a CPA at Ernst & Young.
