Balyasny Asset Management, the multi-strategy hedge fund firm co-founded by Dmitry Balyasny, Taylor O’Malley, and Scott Schroeder, has announced three Partner promotions – Portfolio Managers Wade Clark, Max Zaraisky and Steve Brown, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
The report cites an internal memo as confirming the three promotions, which take the number of partners at the firm to 23.
Clark and Zaraisky, are both commodities Portfolio Managers, with the former, who joined the business in 2021 from BP, focused on US energy, while the latter, who also joined in 2021 from Squarepoint Capital, helped develop the firm’s data-focused commodities trading platform in London.
Brown is a macro Portfolio Manager based in Austin, Texas, who joined Balyasny in 2017.
