BCS Global Markets (BCS), the international arm of BCS Financial Group, has appointed Adam Wood to the position of Director in the Prime Brokerage Sales team in London.
In his role, Wood will work to maintain and establish strong relationships with high frequency traders, proprietary trading firms specialising in arbitrage and major hedge funds across accounts in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe and United States.
Prior to joining BCS, Wood worked as a relationship manager at ABN AMRO Clearing Bank, where he was responsible for business development and sales with buy-side and proprietary trading firms across global accounts. Prior to this Adam worked at the London Stock Exchange, responsible for business development, account management and client relationships within the Equities & Derivatives secondary markets team.
Wood joins with a strong technology background and experience of low latency infrastructure including feedhandlers (software & FPGA) and networks, in addition to exchange and product development across multi-asset (Equities, Derivatives, Commodities, Fixed Income & FX), regulation, exchanges and MTFs.
Wood will report directly to Max Hayden, Head of BCS Prime Brokerage in London.
Audrey Faveeuw (pictured), Director of International Prime Brokerage Sales, says: “I worked with Adam at the London Stock Exchange where we managed together Exchange members trading on the secondary markets across Equities and Derivatives. Apart from being a very trustworthy and honest colleague to work with, Adam’s interpersonal skills and deep knowledge of the industry will be a great addition to the team. His ability to adapt and learn fast will be a true asset to expand our offering and reach a broader community.
“We expect that, Adam’s experience and strong client relationships will be vital assets as BCS Prime Brokerage Ltd grows rapidly over the coming months and years.”
Wood says: “BCS is widely recognised as being the market leading broker in the Russian market, so I am delighted they selected me to play a part in their ongoing success and international expansion.”
