BlueCrest Capital Management, the Mike Platt-founded hedge fund firm-turned family office, has added trading talent to its staff roster in Asia with a particular focus on Singapore, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
New BlueCrest recruits in the city state include Akihiro Konishi, a former macro trader at Garda Capital Partners, who also spent five years at Deutsche Bank trading Japanese Government bonds and the yen, who has joined as a Portfolio Manager, and Punit Kaji who has joined the firm as a Senior Portfolio Manager from Dymon Capital Asia, where he spent three years. Prior to Damon, he spent nearly ten years with Standard Chartered and served as the bank’s Head of Foreign Exchange Cash Trading in Singapore.
Arvind Agarwal has also joined BlueCrest’s Singapore office having spent five years at Nomura as an FX trader, and the ten years prior to that with Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong with a focus on rates and currencies trading.
