BNP Paribas has named Eric Nelson as Head of US Hedge Fund and Asset Manager Sales for the Americas, as the bank looks to deepen relationships with top clients across its equity derivatives franchise, according to a report by Alternatives Watch.
Based in New York, Nelson will report to Nathalie Texier-Guillot, Co-Head of Equity Sales, Americas, and Head of Equity Derivatives Sales, Americas. His remit includes expanding BNP Paribas’ hedge fund coverage and marketing the firm’s equity derivatives expertise to a broader client base.
Nelson joins after 14 years at JPMorgan, where he was most recently Co-Head of Equity Derivatives Flow following a decade as an equity derivatives trader. He played a key role in rebuilding and rebranding JPMorgan’s equity derivatives platform into a top-tier global franchise, while developing longstanding relationships with some of the largest US hedge funds and asset managers.
