The report cites accounts filed with Companies House on Wednesday as revealing that Brevan Howard paid Howard, who stepped down as chief executive in 2019 but reportedly retains control of the firm via a Cayman Islands-based bank, a total £82,038,938 in pay in the year to the end of March 2022.
In the pervious year, Howard earned £56 million. As well as having donated at least £630,000 to the Conservative Party since 2019, the 59-year-old is also a big charity donor, backing causes including homelessness and Holocaust education.
