Brevan Howard has appointed Valdo Durrleman, a former Managing Director and second most senior quantitative strategist at now defunct Eisler Capital, as its new Head of Quantitative Analytics, according to a report by eFinancial careers.
Durrleman spent over seven years at Eisler, working closely with Sam Wisnia, the firm’s deputy chief investment officer, and was instrumental in developing Eisler’s risk and analytics platform, Photon. He previously collaborated with Wisnia at Deutsche Bank on the Kannon system.
The hire follows a series of senior technology appointments at Brevan Howard, including Mike Sanders as chief technology officer from JPMorgan and Tim Mace as head of AI from Man Group. Durrleman is expected to contribute to the development of Brevan Howard’s analytics and risk systems.
