Antonio Belgioioso has joined Goldman Sachs as a Rates Trader, having spent the past four years in a Macro Rates Portfolio Manager role at global macro hedge fund firm Brevan Howard, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Belgioioso joined Brevan Howard in 2020 having previously served as Bonds Trader at Société Générale, Deutsche Bank, and Mizuho.
His appointment follows the loss of several members of Goldman’s European rates team to hedge funds over the Christmas period, including Pushkar Jha, Goldman’s Head of Inflation Trading in London, Urvashi Chahal, a VP-level Rates Trader, and Shahil Ghelani, a European Rates Trader who was based in Paris, who are thought to have joined DE Shaw, Millennium, and Nomura respectively.
