With new OTC derivatives reporting requirements from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) set to take effect on 21 October 2024, Broadridge Financial Solutions plans to expand its offerings.
According to a recent announcement, the firm’s solution will simplify complex trading requirements, enabling clients to comply with diverse local regulations seamlessly. Further, it will be equipped to handle changes, including the integration of global unique transaction identifiers (UTIS), unique product identifiers (UPIS), and critical data elements.
Broadridge is also proactively expanding its offerings to include other updated regulatory frameworks and asset classes, such as the Canadian rewrite scheduled for July 2025 and the Hong Kong rewrite planned for September 2025.
Additionally, the firm is developing the US equivalent of SFTR for Securities Lending – the SEC 10c-1 – expected to go live in January 2026. This follows the recent addition of the European Money Market Statistical Reporting (MMSR), which was upgraded to version 3.6 in July 2024.
Broadridge is also preparing for significant EU and UK MiFID updates slated for 2025 to 2027, as well as final updates to CFTC Dodd Frank Reporting.
These enhancements will support the firm’s clients across various regulatory jurisdictions, including the US, Europe, Canada, Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong.
