Broadridge names new Chief Legal Officer

Global fintech Broadridge Financial Solutions has appointed Hope Jarkowski as Chief Legal Officer, as of 6 May 2024. She succeeds Keir Gumbs, who served in the role until November 2023 before leaving to join financial services firm Edward Jones.

In her new role, Jarkowski will oversee Broadridge’s legal, compliance, regulatory and government affairs, serve as the primary legal advisor to senior management and the board of directors, as well as help lead the company’s internal policy efforts.

Additionally, Jarkowski will serve on Broadridge’s foundation board, risk committee, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) committee.

Prior to joining Broadridge, Jarkowski served as General Counsel at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), where she provided legal counsel and regulatory strategy across the NYSE’s business segments. Prior to this, she served as Head of Equities at the NYSE with responsibility for strategy, product development and relationship management. Prior to the NYSE, she served as Co-Head of Regulatory Affairs for NYSE’s parent, Intercontinental Exchange.

She has also served as Senior Counsel to Commissioner Troy Paredes within the US Securities and Exchange Commission and as Senior Securities Counsel to the US Senate Banking Committee. Prior to government service, Jarkowski practiced securities law at law firm Bingham McCutchen and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
