BTIG Ltd Chairman to retire

Matt Cyzer will step down as Chairman of BTIG Limited, the European affiliate of BTIG LLC.

Cyzer (pictured), was appointed to the leadership role at the London-based broker-dealer in April 2012. Prior to his current role, he served as President of the Pan-European business, and a key member of the firm’s Operating Committee.
“We want to thank Matt for his years of leadership in London, guiding the growth of our European operations and strengthening our team and capabilities in the region,” says Scott Kovalik, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BTIG. “We will continue to be grateful for his commitment to our success and growth in London. Matt’s industry expertise and strong relationships have been a tremendous asset to our clients and the firm.”
When Cyzer joined BTIG, he was tasked with expanding the firm’s equity offering to include multi-asset class products and services. Today, the European team’s capabilities span equities, equity derivatives, event-driven trading, foreign exchange, futures and commodities, global portfolio and ETF trading, outsource trading, commission management and multi-currency settlement services. During his leadership, BTIG tripled its institutional trading volumes.
