Citadel has continued investing in its energy trading business with the appointment of Patrick Reichert from Morgan Stanley as Head of Structuring and Portfolio Optimisation in the energy marketing business, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Citadel has continued investing in its energy trading business with the appointment of Patrick Reichert from Morgan Stanley as Head of Structuring and Portfolio Optimisation in the energy marketing business, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Reichert spent seven years at Morgan Stanley, most recently as an executive director, having joined the bank from oil and gas trading firm Mercuria, where he worked on the power trading desk.
Reichert is the latest recruit to Citadel’s energy marketing business, which is headed up by Jay Rubenstein – the former global head of commodities trading at Morgan Stanley, who joined the hedge fund at the beginning of 2021 – and according to the firm is positioned at the “intersection of natural gas, power, environmental products and weather.”
