Neil Swinburne is joining as European Head of Stock Lending, starting on 17 April and reporting to Nick Roe in Europe, and to Jon Ottomanelli globally.
Citigroup has also hired Tara Westbrook to head up the firm’s Capital Introductions operation in Europe, reporting to Roe in Europe and Dan Lancellotti globally.
Also joining the Cap Intro team will be Michael Lawson, who will be an associate, reporting to Westbrook.
‘These new additions to Equity Prime Brokerage and Equity Finance further underscore the firm’s commitment to growing and improving Citigroup’s services to the hedge fund customer base,’ says Roe, European Head Equity Finance. ‘This is just the beginning of the execution of the strategy plan to build out the international equity finance platform over the next three years to compete at the highest level.
‘With over 20 years’ experience in the stock-lending business, Neil adds considerable depth and experience to our client offering. He joins us from Goldman Sachs, where he was Executive Director in charge of stock loan trading.
‘Tara joins us from DKR Capital, where she was Executive Director, Marketing. She started her career at Goldman Sachs in 1995 as an analyst in the Utilities team and spent four years at Deutsche Bank in the Hedge Fund Capital Group. We welcome the insight and energy she will bring to the Capital Introductions role.’
