Clear Street, a cloud-native financial technology firm and independent prime broker, has appointed Edward Tilly to the firm as President. Tilly joins Clear Street after a successful decade-long tenure as Chief Executive Officer at CBOE Global Markets (CBOE).
At CBOE, Tilly helped grow market capitalisation from $2.0bn to more than $18.0bn and as instrumental in transactions such as the 2017 acquisition of BATS Global Markets, Inc and the development of new products including zero-days-to-expiration (0DTE) options.
Tilly will work closely with Chris Pento, Clear Street’s Chief Executive Officer, and will report to the company’s Board of Directors.
Clear Street has made a number of premier additions to its executive team over the past year, including former Goldman Sachs head of US Prime, Clearing, FCM and Counterparty Risk, Atul Pawarm and Morgan Stanley’s former technology leader, Jon Daplyn.
