Conifer Financial Services (Conifer), a provider of fund administration, middle office, and tax services to the asset management industry, has hired industry veteran Jeff Strauss as Managing Director in its New York Business Development team.
Jack McDonald, CEO of Conifer, says: ”We are thrilled to have someone of Jeff's experience and expertise join our team. My partners and I have known Jeff for years and view him as a true leader in the Fund Services industry. Given the significant opportunities we see before us, I am highly confident that Jeff will meaningfully contribute to Conifer's success in the years ahead."
Before joining Conifer, Strauss held several senior roles at various fund administrators, most recently as President of Mitsubishi UFJ Fund Services. Prior to Mitsubishi, Strauss held a similar role as President of Butterfield Fulcrum US and was also Head of Sales for Hedgeserv for several years. Strauss spent most of his career at Goldman Sachs and also helped launch the Prime Brokerage Business at Smith Barney.
"The fund administration industry continues to evolve, with increasing demands from regulators and investors alike," says Strauss. "As a competitor, I've long admired Conifer's reputation for exceptional client service and enviable technology. I'm also attracted by their strategic focus on exciting new areas of the business that others are ignoring. I'm very excited to be joining the team at such an exciting time in Conifer's history."
