CreativeCap Advisors has launched an Institutional Investor-only Global Board of Advisors for the firm’s Global Emerging Manager Incubator, with the appointment of Hong-Kong based Mark Hibbs, Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Adamas Capital Partners.
“The search for the right Advisory Board members has been a comprehensive and strategic process. We want to ensure we are reaching every corner of the world. We are incredibly fortunate and humbled to have Mark Hibbs join our Advisory Board. His appointment signals our strong commitment to start-up funds based in Asia,” says Tyra S Jeffries, Founder and CEO of CreativeCap Advisors. “He brings with him decades of experience in investing in hedge funds and has worked with emerging managers across Asia. Additionally, his expertise in working directly and investing with emerging managers in the Asian market will help our team to build the right programs that target and help our Incubatees who are either based in that region or those that are looking to gain access to that region of the world.”
Hibbs is Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Adamas Capital Partners. He has over 20 years of experience in managing assets across Asia, specialising in seed, early stage, capital acceleration and fund of funds investment in the hedge fund space. Hibbs previously served as Managing Director at Ajia Partners Fund of Funds Group, responsible for the portfolio management of the Ajia Partners Japan Opportunity Fund (now known as Adamas Japan Opportunity Fund) and also for manager research for the Ajia Partners Asian Opportunity Fund’s Japan focused sub-portfolio.
“It is a pleasure to be asked to act as a member of the Advisory Board to CreativeCap Advisors in order to assist the group in their goal to nurture emerging asset management businesses. I hope to be able to bring our long experience and insights earned over many years in the incubation of Asian hedge fund strategies,” says Hibbs.
Prior to joining Ajia Partners Fund of Funds Group, Hibbs was a Managing Director of the PFC Financial Intermediaries Group (PFC) for Ajia Partners, responsible for all aspects involved in bringing Japan-focused hedge fund start-ups to market and overseeing the execution process upon launch completion. Hibbs studied B.Eng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering at Kingston University (Surrey). He is fluent in Japanese.
