Credit-focused, institutional alternative investment manager Crestline Investors has appointed Frank Jordan as managing director, head of business development and client partnerships.

He will be based in Fort Worth and report to the firm’s partners.

Jordan spent 10 years at GoldenTree Asset Management as partner and head of business development, and was also a member of GoldenTree’s executive committee. During his time there, the firm grew from just over USD1 billion in assets across two funds and two CLOs to over USD15 billion across multiple funds and strategies. Jordan raised capital in the US, Europe, Australia, Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea) and the Middle East from a wide range of investor types, including public pensions, insurance companies, banks, fund of funds, corporate pensions and sovereign and superannuation funds. He also personally managed all key consultant and private bank relationships.

“Frank has a proven history of delivering the highest quality investment products to his institutional clients and relationships,” says Douglas Bratton, managing partner and chief investment officer of Crestline. “We look forward to Frank continuing this tradition with Crestline and feel confident he will play a big part in Crestline’s growth.”

“Crestline has a strong brand in the alternative investment management industry, particularly in the credit markets, and I look forward to using my knowledge and experience to help grow the firm,” says Jordan.

Prior to GoldenTree, Jordan was a partner of high yield sales at Wasserstein Perella, where in 1998 he was voted Institutional Investor’s High Yield salesman of the year, following the execution of a trade to clear Long Term Capital Management of a large block of bonds. Earlier in his career, Jordan also spent time with Citibank and Salomon Brothers in various sales and marketing roles.

Jordan was most recently co-founder and chief revenue officer for The Bleachers Corporation, an entrepreneurial venture which connects parents, students and the school community via on-demand video streaming.
