Crypto Asset Rating (CAR), an Independent Structured Rating Agency, has expanded its global team further with the appointment of David Goldenberg as Corporate and Regulatory Advisor.

Goldenberg will bring to CAR his extensive legal, compliance and regulatory experience in the financial services industry, including in the area of credit ratings.

“Goldenberg is an accomplished global executive, having led legal and compliance departments of various sizes through a range of challenges over the past 22 years” says Lacey Kaelani, a spokesperson for Crypto Asset Rating Inc. “We are excited to benefit from his experience and judgment as we bring consistency and transparency to the evaluation and rating of crypto assets.”

Goldenberg most recently was the Executive Managing Director and Chief Legal Officer at S&P Global Ratings, the world’s largest credit rating agency, where he led a global team of more than 40 legal professionals and served on the firm’s Executive Committee. Goldenberg joined S&P Global after serving as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Muzinich & Co, a corporate credit investment management firm. Earlier in his career, Goldenberg was general counsel at Mercer, the global consulting, benefits and investment firm, Director of Legal Affairs at Lazard Asset Management and Global Director of Compliance at Citigroup Asset Management.

Crypto Asset Rating is a pioneer in developing a rating system for the largely unregulated and unorganised crypto and blockchain markets, especially digital assets. The robust rating system developed by the Crypto Asset Rating team is a unique framework built on objective evaluations by experts and objective criteria. The rating system is designed to review and evaluate crypto projects, digital assets, and ventures based on 125-plus quantitative and qualitative parameters across 15 categories. CAR is also launching the Crypto Capital Access Platform (CCAP) Software as a Service (SaaS) to offer tokenisation to issuers with features of compliance and smart contracts to configure tokens as Securities.
