Danesmead Partners hires former Soros CFO

Cayman based alternative fund governance specialist Danesmead Partners has appointed former Soros Fund Management chief financial officer (CFO) Tracie Ahern as a director and principal of the firm. 

Ahern (pictured_ will be based in New York and will serve as an independent director on alternative investment vehicles. 
 
An industry veteran with 26 years of experience in the investment management industry she is a Certified Public Accountant with an MBA from New York University. 
 
During her eight-year tenure at Soros, Ahern had responsibility for the treasury function, trade operations and firm wide budgeting and financial analysis, including all corporate and investment company financials. She also served on the firm’s management, brokerage, treasury, capital allocation and risk committees and chaired the valuation committee.
 
Most recently Ahern was the chief operating officer/CFO of Brightwood Capital Advisors where she served on the executive committee and valuation committees for the lower middle market direct lending firm.
