Eons Energy Investment, a Cayman Islands-registered investment management company founded in 2015 by Weber Su and Jeff Shen, both based in Beijing, has selected Wells Fargo Global Fund Services to provide fund administration services for its first fund.

“We selected Wells Fargo Global Fund Services as our fund administrator because of its keen insights into the investment management business, low employee turnover, and stability as a financial institution. We appreciate the company’s experience dealing with valuation in today’s increasingly complex global capital markets and the fact that the team shares our commitment to risk management,” says Eons Energy Investment Managing Partner Weber Su.

"Eons’ decision to award us this new mandate demonstrates Wells Fargo’s strength in the marketplace as the firm of choice for long/short equity fund managers," says Celia Choh, Wells Fargo Global Fund Services’ Senior Vice President,  Regional Head of Fund Services, Asia.

Eons’ first fund, Eons Energy Investment Master Fund, launched on 1 March, 2016 and applies a long/short equity strategy in energy-related sectors globally with a focus on fundamental research and investment processes. Eons strives to provide risk-adjusted absolute returns uncorrelated to other asset classes to sophisticated investors such as ultra high-net-worth investors, family offices, endowments, pension funds and financial institutions.

Wells Fargo Global Fund Services provides comprehensive administration, middle-office, operations and cash/collateral management services to alternative investment managers. Wells Fargo administers more than USD250 billion in alternative assets, covering a wide range of strategies traded by global portfolio managers including fixed income, credit, distressed, structured credit, macro, equity, commodities, CDO, CLO, private equity, private debt, real estate and hybrid structures. Global Fund Services work processes follow the sun through its global network of offices in Dublin, Hong Kong, London, New York, Minneapolis and Singapore.
