Euronext ADVs up in June

June average daily transaction value (ADV) on the Euronext cash order book stood at EUR8,345 million in June, 9.3 per cent lower than June 2015, which was a record month following the previous one in 2010.

The activity on ETFs significantly increased during June 2016 with an average daily transaction value of EUR683 million, up 16.5 per cent compared to June 2015. The exchange’s ETF offer continued expanding with six new listings during the month.
 
The average daily volume on equity index derivatives was down 14.4 per cent to 244,761 contracts in June 2016, while the average daily volume on individual equity derivatives increased by 251,919 contracts, or 3.8 per cent.
 
In June 2016, the average daily volume on commodities derivatives decreased by 7.6 per cent compared to June 2015, with an average daily volume of 56,195 contracts.
 
On a year-to-date basis, the overall average daily volume on Euronext derivatives stands at 528,193 contracts, down 3.5 per cent compared to end of June 2015, while open interest increased by 8.1 per cent to 14,707,772 contracts.
 
In June 2016, Euronext had four new listings, including ASR Nederland NV on Euronext Amsterdam as well as three EnterNext SMEs that altogether raised EUR1,466 million.
 
In addition, EUR3.5 billion was raised on Euronext in corporate bonds and EUR7.4 billion of follow-on equity. In total during the first semester, EUR66.6 billion have been raised on Euronext, up 7.3 per cent compared to end of June 2015.
