Malcom Pratt, former co-head of EMEA high-touch sales trading at Bank of America, has joined RBC as a hedge fund sales trader following a short-lived move to fintech firm Clear Street, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Pratt spent eight years at BofA before leaving in March for Clear Street, which markets itself as an independent prime broker and technology platform. Despite the fanfare, Pratt’s tenure at Clear Street lasted only about five months amid a wave of departures and cuts at the firm’s London office. Other recent exits included Luke Holmes, Matt Cyzer, Phil Hylander, and Stu Holt.
After a brief break, Pratt has now moved to RBC, a traditional investment bank with a significant hedge fund sales franchise.
RBC and Pratt declined to comment on the appointment.
