3iQ, the digital asset manager backed by Japan’s Monex Group, has appointed hedge fund veteran Tommaso Mancuso – former CIO at London-based global macro firm Shikuma Capital – as its new Global Head of Investments.
Mancuso brings over 20 years of experience in alternative investments and hedge fund management. Before Shikuma, Mancheuso spent over a decade at Hermes Investment Management, where he launched and led the firm’s Multi Asset division and previously ran Hermes BPK, its $2.5bn hedge fund platform.
Mancuso has also held senior positions at Pioneer Alternative Investments in New York, managing over $3.5bn in credit and event-driven strategies.
His appointment follows 3iQ’s continued evolution from a crypto product innovator to a full-spectrum digital asset manager, offering hedge fund-style solutions such as its QMAP platform. The firm was the first to launch regulated Bitcoin and Ethereum ETPs in Canada and continues to develop staking-integrated strategies across Solana and Ethereum.
