ExodusPoint adds four PMs

ExodusPoint, the hedge fund firm founded by Millennium Management alumni Michael Gelband and Hyung Lee, has added four Portfolio Managers to its team after raising additional investment funds, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.

ExodusPoint, which saw returns of over 15% last year, according to data from Bloomberg, putting it ahead of the likes of Balyasny and Schonfeld, launched fundraising for an additional $1bn in client cash in the fourth quarter of last year.

Three of the four new arrivals are in London – Angus Abbott, Andy McDougall, and Marianna Georgakopoulou – while Jeff Knightley joined the firm’s New York office.

Abott is a London-based inflation trader, who has joined from Barclays, while McDougall is a former emerging markets macro portfolio manager at Millennium and onetime managing director at JPMorgan and senior trader at Credit Suisse and Barclays. Georgakopoulou, meanwhile has joined from Schonfeld, where she was a portfolio manager trading global macro, while Jeff Knightly was previously a Partner trading non-therapeutics companies at Avidity, having also spent over two years at Citadel.
