Ankur Aneja, the former Managing Director in euro swaps trading at Barclays, has joined BlueCrest, Michael Platt’s hedge fund-turned-family office, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Aneja, who spent 20 years at Barclays before resigning in July, will be based in BlueCrest’s London office initially, with plans to relocate to the firm’s Dubai operations next year, sources familiar with the matter said.
BlueCrest is known for attracting top-tier traders by offering generous profit-sharing, with some allowed to retain up to 30% of P&L. The firm’s macro trading roster includes other former bank traders such as Ben Atlas and Romain Laprade.
