Private equity firm Montagu has completed its investment in Waystone, a provider of institutional governance, risk, and compliance services to the asset management industry, while Hg, a global software and services investor, is also joining as a strategic investor and joint shareholder in the firm. Montagu first announced its investment in Waystone in July 2021. Hg’s investment is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions. Qblue Balanced (Qblue), a Copenhagen based asset manager, and Heptagon Capital (Heptagon), a London based asset management firm, have jointly launched an Article 9 equity fund – ‘Qblue Global Sustainable Leaders Fund’. The fund went live with USD140.5 million on Wednesday, 12 January 2022 as a sub fund within Heptagon’s USD8 billion Irish UCITS fund umbrella. Investors pulled USD19.96 billion from the global hedge fund business in December, bringing full-year 2021 hedge fund AUM growth to +USD15.90 billion, according to eVestment’s December and Full Year 2021 Hedge Fund Asset Flows report.

DL Holdings Group Limited has agreed agreed a deal with Hong Kong based hedge fund and asset management start-up company Atlas Multi-assets Capital Holdings Limited, to pay up top USD6.5 million to acquire about 38 per cent of the issued shares of Atlas Multi-assets. The preliminary post-money valuation is USD 20 million. Atlas is operated by a veteran team with experience in both global investment and private banking.
