BlockFills, a digital asset trading and financial technology company, has closed a USD37 million Series A funding round led by institutional investors, including Susquehanna Private Equity Investments, CME Ventures, Simplex Ventures, C6E, Nexo Inc, and several other institutional investors and funds. Investors are ‘extraordinarily complacent’ about the macro risks currently facing emerging markets, but idiosyncratic investment opportunities still abound, says Andrew Swan, manager of the Man GLG Asia (ex Japan) Equity strategy. London-based investment firm, Twenty20 Capital, has joined forces with MP Alpha Capital — making a cornerstone investment into the firm’s “post-Covid” hedge fund.
Graubündner Kantonalbank (GKB) agreed to acquire a stake of around 30 percent in the independent investment manager Twelve Capital Holding AG (Twelve Capital), which specialises in investments in the insurance sector and is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. Subject to the approval of the competent authorities, the transaction is expected to close in Q2 2022. A representative of GKB will serve as a member of the Board of Directors of Twelve Capital.
