Group G Capital Partners, a New York-based investment manager specialising in alternative investment strategies, has appointed Alyson Gardner Kiesel as director of marketing and strategic development.
 
In the newly-created position Kiesel, 37, is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s marketing and business development and reports directly to chairman Geoffrey Gwin, who says: ‘We welcome Alyson on board and her expertise will be a vital part of our ongoing growth and expansion strategy.’
 
Kiesel was most recently a managing director at Pali Capital, a New York-based equities firm, where she was responsible for launching the distressed desk. Previously she was a managing director at Libertas Partners, a high yield and distressed securities investment firm in Greenwich, Connecticut, and before that a vice-president and principal at CRT Capital Group, a Stamford-based distressed securities firm.
