The Hedgeweek European Leadership Summit is set to return to London on Thursday, 29 February, as operational leaders from some of the world’s leading hedge fund firms discuss their current challenges and key priorities for 2024.
Held under Chatham House rules to facilitate candid and open discussion, the day’s agenda has been informed by industry consultation. The flexible format combines panel discussions with roundtables on key issues facing management firms.
The opening panel will see industry experts Dave Fishwick of M&G and Francesco Filia of Fasanara Capital dissecting the factors driving hedge fund performance in 2024. Their discussion will focus on the trends shaping returns, strategies for the ‘higher-for-longer’ era, and the evolving landscape of multi-strategy funds versus traditional strategies.
The second panel will feature operational leaders from Accent Capital Management, International Asset Management and Broad Reach Investment Management who will share insights on top priorities for COOs, technology utilisation, AI integration, and navigating regulatory challenges in the age of Gensler.
For the third panel, multi-manager executives and business development experts from Trium Capital, Orchard Global Asset Management, UBP Alternative Investment Solutions, Investcorp-Tages, and FERI discuss the latest trends in business diversification, from expanding into private credit or digital assets, to broadening the investment toolkit.
The final panel of the day will see speakers from Redington, Russell Investments, Mercer Alternatives among others exploring strategies for meeting investor demands in a higher-rate environment, alternative asset allocation, and capital-raising plans.
In addition, attendees will have the chance to meet and connect with speakers and delegates through networking opportunities, coffee breaks, lunch, and a closing drinks reception.
