IG Prime, the institutional arm of IG Group, has added to its APAC team with the appointment of Andrew Wood as Institutional Sales Manager based in the company’s Sydney office, according top a report by Finance Magnates.
Prime, which launched in 2020, offers institutional services including technology, platforms, products, and exchanges, to start-up and multi-prime hedge funds and family Offices. It currently has operations in nineteen countries across five continents.
Wood, who has over two decades of experience, mostly in the trading sector, joins IG Prime from CMC Markets in Sydney, where he spent seven years as Head of Institutional Sales APAC.
Earlier in his career, he also spent seven years at Saxo Capital Markets Australia, first in the role of Institutional Sales and then as a part of Institutional Business Australia, as well as a stint at Sydney-based Rushton Financial Services as a Senior Relationship Manager.
