ITI Capital appoints new chairman

ITI Capital has appointed John Barker (pictured), as Non-Executive Chairman. He was formerly the Executive Chairman of BCS and Managing Director and Head of International at Liquidnet Europe for over 10 years, as well as serving on the Board at Instinet.

In his new role, Barker will spearhead ITI Capital’s business strategy, offering direct market access to emerging markets for global clients, and to global markets for its Russian clients. The London based team also offers prime brokerage services and a trading platform for algorithmic funds, as well as structured products and technology-focused asset management.
Barker says: “I am extremely excited to join ITI Capital at the start of its growth cycle. I cannot wait to assist the team in building out its business both product and client.  The opportunity to start a new business that is both compliant focused and with a commitment to deliver excellence appeals tremendously.”

ITI Group seeks to build a financial technology holding group focused on sell side and buy side platforms, IT services and investments into financial technology businesses. ITI Group has developed a full suite of proprietary technology solutions for cross-asset financing, wealth management and online trading platforms for institutional and private clients.
ITI Group financed the acquisition of ITI Capital just two months earlier through a round of private equity investment by Da Vinci Capital and several experienced fintech co-investors.
