Bobby Jain’s $5.3bn hedge fund Jain Global has hired Gregoire Thomas, a former Millennium Management portfolio manager, as a Portfolio Manager in Hong Kong as it continues to scale its global platform, according to a report by Financial News.
Thomas, an equity trading specialist, will focus on market-neutral strategies. He most recently headed equity market neutral at Candriam, following a stint at Millennium from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, he spent four years as an MD at Bank of America and almost 15 years at Société Générale.
Launched in July 2024, Jain Global has been aggressively building its bench, growing from around 200 staff at inception to more than 350 today. Recent hires include Kavi Gupta from Bank of America as a macro PM and Millennium’s Costas Constantinides as an equities PM.
