The headcount at New York-based hedge fund Jain Global now numbers more than 80 employees, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Around 20 of the recruits are thought to be Portfolio Managers and will operate from offices in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and New York.
Another report by Business Insider previously revealed Jain’s target of 70 investment teams, while last month, another report by the Financial Times found that the firm was looking to recruit a total of 35-40 portfolio managers.
PM recruits to date include David Hochberg, Macquarie’s former Head of Commodities Trading and at least two ex-Citadel PMs, including Townie Wells and Paul Jefferys in London.
