JO Hambro Capital Management strengthens US presence with three new hires

JO Hambro Capital Management Limited (JOHCM) has strengthened its US presence with the appointment of three senior professionals. 

This summer, Phil Dever, Michelle Donley Holmes and Jonathan Weitz will be joining JOHCM’s US headquarters in Boston.

Dever, who serves as a managing director of North American client service, is focused on servicing JOHCM’s institutional client base in North America, which is a key geographic focus for the firm. He brings more than 25 years of experience in client service and relationship management, helping to strengthen business relationships and exceed client expectations. He recently was the director of client service and relationship management at LMCG Investments, and he previously held roles of increasing responsibility at Wellington Management Co.

Holmes joins the firm as vice president and US marketing manager, responsible for leading all marketing activities in the US Most recently, she served as the communications, media and RFP manager at The Boston Company Asset Management, LLC. Her work history also includes more than 15 years in financial journalism, with editorial positions at Dow Jones, TheStreet.com, Reuters and MarketWatch.

Weitz assumes the role of SVP, North American Business Manager, providing governance, administrative operational and investment risk oversight of the firm’s North American activities and supporting implementation of the firm’s strategic plans. With almost 20 years of experience, he previously worked as the co-director of operations and partner at Century Capital Management, LLC, as well as a head trader and equity analyst there. Prior positions include roles at HLM Management and Scudder-Kemper Investments.
