LandAndBuildings, a property long/short equity fund, has hired two new investment professionals – David Kruth and Corey Lorinsky.
Kruth has joined the firm as Principal and Co-Portfolio Manager focusing on international property. Previously, he was Vice President and Co-Portfolio Manager of the USD2.5 billion Global Real Estate Securities Funds at Goldman Sachs Asset Management where he oversaw global investment for five years. David also spent eight years as Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst at both Citigroup Property Investors and Alliance Capital Management where he invested in REITs and other public real estate related companies in the U.S. and internationally.

“I’ve known David professionally for over 15 years, in the 1990’s, he was a pioneer investing in non-US property companies and I am very excited to have him on board,” says Jonathan Litt, Founder and Senior Portfolio Manager of LandAndBuildings. “The calibre of knowledge and relationships in the global real estate and financial arena will enhance our ability to capitalise on investment opportunities and generate alpha outside the US”
.
Lorinsky joins as an Analyst supporting the firm’s global research efforts. Prior to joining LandAndBuildings, Corey worked as a Research Analyst at Elliott Associates, a USD17 billion multi-strategy hedge fund based in Manhattan. Corey graduated magna cum laude in 2007 from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics.
“Corey brings a strong background in conducting fundamental analysis and research on a spectrum of industries which will augment our investment strategy” says Craig Melcher, Principal and Co-Portfolio Manager of LandAndBuildings.
