LFIS (La Française Investment Solutions), a Paris-based quantitative asset manager with USD14 billion AUM, has appointed Jean-Michel Lévy-Bruhl as a Senior Portfolio Manager in its Factor Investing team.

Lévy-Bruhl joins from Delebor AM, which he co-founded and where he worked across a range of systematic investment strategies. Prior to this he was Head of European Market Making at BAML, Head of Paris Portfolio Management at Nomura and before that, a senior trader in BNP Paribas’ Systematic Quantitative Strategies team. He started his career at JP Morgan and holds degrees from Ecole Polytechnique, ENSAE and Paris VI University.
Lévy-Bruhl will be part of LFIS’ Factor Investing team, which brings together quant research and practical know-how and applies these to LFIS’ investment strategies. The appointment deepens LFIS’ quant capabilities, particularly with respect to its premia strategies, and demonstrates the firm’s continuing investment towards supporting its continuing growth.
Sofiène Haj-Taïeb, co-founder of LFIS, says: “Jean-Michel’s depth of capital markets experience across the buy and sell-side complements our approach and we are delighted someone of his calibre is joining our investment team. Recruiting the best talent is very important for LFIS to continue to grow and to offer clients innovative investment strategies that also match their liquidity, risk and return preferences.”
Lévy-Bruhl adds: “I’m pleased to be part of LFIS, whose entrepreneurial culture and advanced quantitative capabilities make this role a natural fit. I’m looking forward to contributing to the further development of the firm’s quant approach, anchored on proprietary research and practical implementation. The firm has an excellent track record and great opportunities ahead.”
