Industry veteran Chris Jackson has joined Liquidnet as European Head of the firm’s Execution and Quantitative Services (EQS) Group.
Jackson brings over twenty years of experience to this new role which will involve setting the strategic direction of the European Trading Desk and Algorithmic Services Group, as well as heading up the senior sales effort for Liquidnet's global algorithmic offering with European clients.
Jackson's' appointment marks significant progress in Liquidnet's strategy to provide its network – which includes nearly 780 of the world’s leading asset managers – with new and more efficient ways to source diverse liquidity and satisfy best execution objectives. Through such services, which include trade advisory and execution solutions, Liquidnet is enabling its members to remove barriers to liquidity and more efficiently manage factors that impact member investment performance.

Liquidnet has been building its EQS team with the appointment of New York based, Rob Laible as the Global Head of EQS Liquidnet made three further hires in this team in December 2014, whose role is to further expand Liquidnet’s offering, including designing, implementing, and customizing Liquidnet’s suite of execution algorithms and analytics while also providing quantitative research and market microstructure insight.

Jackson joins from Citi where he was Head of Execution Sales, EMEA. Prior to Citi, Jackson spent twelve years at Merrill Lynch where he was latterly Head of Sales across program, transitions and electronic trading. Chris started his career at SBC Warburg in 1995, where for two years he worked in the EMEA Portfolio Sales and sales trading team.
