Alteri Investors (Alteri), a specialist European retail sector investor, has made a significant investment in Missguided Limited, owner of the global fashion brand and digital retailer Missguided.
Alteri’s investment, comprising both debt and the acquisition of 50 per cent of the group’s equity, will provide the business with the liquidity and support it needs to overcome short-term supply chain challenges, as well as a platform to return the business to sustainable profitability.

Lacima, headquartered in Sydney, Australia, is a provider of technology solutions for trading and risk management in the global energy and commodities markets. Lacima’s risk analytics software manages valuation, optimization and risk management. Their trading analytics solution provides tools for pre-trade analyses, structuring and valuation, which further supports trading decisions for their customers.

Altana Wealth’s carbon futures-focused strategy, which trades opportunities stemming from rising carbon credit costs in the European Union, has scored a near-60 per cent return since launching earlier this year.
The Altana Carbon Futures Opportunity gained 49.80 per cent last month, an emphatic return which pushed its year-to-date return to 59.52 per cent since launching in July.

The UCITS fund has been launched to meet demand from institutional investors, such as pension funds and family offices, that cannot invest in non-UCITS products and are searching for a product that is decorrelated from major financial markets. Bain Capital Credit has acquired Project Frontier, which involves the sale of 95 per cent of the Mezzanine and Junior notes from a securitisation backed by a cEUR6 billion gross book value portfolio of non-performing exposures from National Bank of Greece.
Bain Capital Credit, Fortress Investment Group (Fortress) and doValue (doValue) have formed a consortium whereby funds and accounts managed by Bain Capital Credit and Fortress respectively acquired the Notes and doValue was appointed as the servicer of the securitisation.

Hedge fund flows as measured by the SS&C GlobeOp Capital Movement Index meanwhile, advanced 0.36 per cent in December.

Hedge fund Anchorage Capital, a major player in distressed debt investing, is closing its USD7.4 billion flagship fund, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
Anchorage, which has around USD30 billion in assets, hasn’t specified a date for the return of investor cash. The firm will now focus on its structured credit and private equity-style funds.

JTC has acquired Essential Fund Services (EFS), New York-headquartered provider of a broad range of services in the alternative assets space, including accounting, reporting and administrative services to investment partnerships and their investment managers.
The acquisition will be settled via cash and JTC equity.
