ICE Endex is now a fully owned subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), following ICE’s acquisition of the remaining 20 per cent stake of ICE Endex shares from NV Nederlandse Gasunie. PEGAS, the pan-European gas trading platform operated by Powernext, registered a total volume of 167.7 TWh in June 2017, including 108.1 TWh traded on its futures segment. The overall volume increase of 34 per cent was supported by new high marks on the CEGH VTP and ZTP delivery areas. Spot trading volumes in June reached 59.6 TWh , which represents an increase of 48 per cent compared to the previous year (40.2 TWh). In June 2017, the European Energy Exchange (EEX) achieved a total volume of 181.2 TWh on its power derivatives markets (June 2016: 374.7 TWh). The June volume comprises 106.5 TWh traded at EEX via Trade Registration with subsequent clearing. Low volatility net asset value (LVNAV) money market funds (MMFs), a new fund category introduced as part of a new regulatory reform of the sector in Europe, will likely attract a large chunk of the almost EUR600 billion in assets currently held in prime constant net asset value (CNAV) funds, according to a new report from Moody’s.
