Misys appoints Martin Haring as chief marketing officer

Misys has appointed Martin Häring as chief marketing officer. He joins the business from the cloud-based content and application delivery network provider Akamai, where he was vice president marketing and channels.

Häring’s role is to strengthen the Misys brand and augment the customer and partner marketing organisation. His remit includes aligning marketing operations more closely to the sales and services teams, ensuring it is able to support the business fully as Misys continues along its growth trajectory.

With over two decades of leadership in marketing and strategic business development, Häring has had previous roles at IBM, Sun Microsystems and Oracle, where he was most recently vice president worldwide field marketing for Oracle’s server line of business.
During his tenure at Sun Microsystems, Häring held several international marketing positions including vice president marketing EMEA, senior director of marketing for South and East Europe, Middle East & Africa and director of marketing for Germany and Austria. His experience includes strategic business planning and development, product marketing, channel marketing, industry marketing, as well as branding and communications.
