Equitivo is partnering with Ablrate, a specialist asset backed lending marketplace, to accelerate its growth, launch a new integrated broker platform, expand its marketing and develop new products.
The consultancy work will also assist in Ablrate’s progress of ASMX, a blockchain enabled secondary market which connects multiple platforms and investors in one portal, to integrate Ablrate and its white label partner Huddle Capital. The Eurekahedge Hedge Fund Index was up 2.32 per cent in January, as the risk-on sentiment returned to the market, propelling the MSCI AC World Index (Local) up 7.36 per cent during the month.
That’s according to the February 2019 Eurekahedge Report which reveals that throughout 2018, hedge fund managers posted losses of 4.08 per cent, outperforming the global equity market which slumped 10.18 per cent over the year.

Nomura Asset Management Co (NAM) has become the first asset manager headquartered in Japan to provide access to CLSSettlement for Japanese-domiciled funds.
NAM is working with three trust banks: The Nomura Trust and Banking Co (NMTB); Japan Trustee Services Bank (JTSB); and The Master Trust Bank of Japan (MTBJ), to offer CLSSettlement to a total of 21 investment trust funds. NAM and the trust banks are supported by a number of global custodian banks, including Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH) and Citibank, NA (Citi) for NMTB, with Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank (USA) Limited for JTSB, and BBH for MTBJ.

Neuberger Berman, a private, independent, employee-owned investment manager, has hired Joe McDonnell as head of portfolio solutions (EMEA).
McDonnell will be part of the quantitative and multi-asset class investments team at Neuberger Berman, reporting to co-heads Erik Knutzen and Doug Kramer.
In this newly-created role, McDonnell will be responsible for designing and overseeing multi-asset mandates and engaging with strategic partners. He will leverage the broader Neuberger Berman platform to identify customised quantitative solutions and to help construct, oversee and implement portfolios to meet specific client objectives.

The MJ Hudson Allenbridge Alternative Risk Premia Fund Review 2019 estimates that there are now from USD150 billion to USD200 billion of assets in global alternative risk premia funds following a long/short, multi-strategy approach. This estimate excludes strategy offerings by investment banks.
The 2019 survey was conducted using an online questionnaire of 25 asset managers representing the majority of the assets (USD120 billion) managed in this market.
Despite the challenges with performance, 46 per cent of our survey respondents reported AUM growth in excess of 20 per cent in 2018. Larger managers experienced faster growth than smaller managers.
The average
