Digital consulting company SoftServe is partnering with Adjoint, a developer of distributed ledger technology, to accelerate automation through smart contracts and improve transactional privacy and security through blockchain in the financial and commodities industries.
Adjoint’s Uplink is an open source platform designed to enable enterprises in the financial sector, from banking and capital markets to insurance, asset management, and commodities trading; to quickly deploy, maintain, verify and execute smart contracts globally on a private, permissioned distributed ledger.

Morrow Sodali has appointed David Shammai as Corporate Governance Director – Cross Border.
Shammai joins from APG Asset Management, the Dutch pension fund manager, where in his role as senior corporate governance specialist he was involved in voting, policy, and engagement. Based in the London office, Shammai will focus on the firm’s growing corporate governance activities across its European offices.
Together with Morrow Sodali’s expanding team of corporate governance professionals, Shammai will work to further develop the firm’s governance services – ranging from benchmarking and assessments of governance practice to board advisory on engagement with investors.

The market reversal in early February took a heavy toll on CTAs and they are down almost 5 per cent on a month to date basis, according to the Lyxor CTA index.
Other measures of CTA performance point to a drawdown that was more severe, ie in the -5/ -10 per cent range. Meanwhile, their deleveraging during the selloff suggests they may have lagged the market recovery during the recent days.

Euronext has reported strong operating performance for the full year 2017 with revenue up by 7.2 per cent to EUR532.3 million.
Despite low volatility, cash trading revenues totalled EUR190.3 million up 5.3 per cent, thanks to strong market share at 64.4 per cent (67.1 per cent in Q4) and improving volumes (ADV at EUR7.5 billion up 6.7 per cent).
Revenue diversification initiatives also made a solid contribution to performance with FastMatch and Agility for Growth contributing EUR7.2 million and EUR9.8 million to the group revenue, respectively.

LRI Group, the leading independent investment services company, in partnership with TAO Alternatives has announced that the TAO Alternatives liquid alternative investment strategy has exceeded EUR500 million in assets under Management (AuM) in February 2018 on LRI Group’s UCITS platform.
LRI Group announced the partnership with TAO Alternatives in September 2017 when the investment strategy was at EUR250 million AuM. The strategy has doubled in size in six months due to several big mandate wins from German pension funds and pension schemes. The investment strategy has also received increased interest from the UK and Switzerland markets.

Invast Global will be sponsoring the Australian Men’s Sevens Team for the Hong Kong (6-8 April) and Singapore (28-29 April) HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series tournaments. Asymmetry Capital Management, an alternative asset management firm launched in 2013 by Scott Kay, has appointed James Yin, PhD as an analyst covering global therapeutics, based in the firm’s San Francisco headquarters.
Yin has conducted research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the University of Minnesota where he participated in breakthrough research to solve the atomic structure of the Rous Sarcoma Virus Intasome. This research was published in the Journal Nature in February 2016.
