SYZ Asset Management (SYZ AM) has expanded its offering of quantitative solutions through the launch of OYSTER Equity Premia Global.
This new offering builds on the strong success of the OYSTER Market Neutral Europe fund and will similarly seek to deliver alpha-rich returns while aiming to maintain a near zero equity beta over time. In order to support initial asset growth and reward early investors, a one-year discount of 50 per cent on the management fees will be offered.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has charged a former bitcoin-denominated platform and its operator with operating an unregistered securities exchange and defrauding users.
The SEC has also charged the operator with making false and misleading statements in connection with an unregistered offering of securities.
The SEC alleges that BitFunder and its founder Jon E Montroll operated BitFunder as an unregistered online securities exchange and defrauded exchange users by misappropriating their bitcoins and failing to disclose a cyberattack on BitFunder’s system that resulted in the theft of more than 6,000 bitcoins. SmartStream Technologies, a financial Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM) solutions provider, has appointed Vincent Kilcoyne as head of product management and promoted Christian Schiebl to Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Kilcoyne will be responsible for the management of all product lifecycles from inception to delivery. He brings over 30 years of industry experience in leading and advising financial and technology organisations. He started his career as an analyst programmer for the Bank of Ireland, before spending a number of years designing and implementing a variety of retail banking, trading and equity settlement systems for Anglo Irish Bankcorp.
