THL Credit Advisors (THL Credit) has named Brian Murphy (pictured), as Head of Capital Markets. Murphy, who is based in Chicago, is a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager for THL Credit’s Tradable Credit strategy. In this newly created role, Murphy will be responsible for overseeing all of THL Credit’s capital markets activities, including sourcing investment opportunities from banks and lenders and managing excess risk across THL Credit’s Tradable Credit and Direct Lending strategies.   Murphy has more than twenty-four years of investment industry experience, principally in the area of leveraged finance. Ocorian, a global provider of specialist financial services backed by private equity firm Inflexion, is to acquire ABAX, an advisory, corporate and business services provider based in Mauritius. The European Energy Exchange (EEX), Saxo Bank and PZEM Energy have partnered to offer German Power CFDs (Contracts for Differences) on Saxo’s fully integrated trading and risk management platform, SaxoTraderGO. The average daily transaction value on the Euronext cash order book stood at EUR7,773 million in January 2018, up 20.4 per cent compared to January 2017, and stable from the previous month. The average daily transaction value on ETFs order book was EUR286 million, up +16.9 per cent compared to January 2017 and up +5.6 per cent from the previous month. Exchange Data International (EDI) has launched a new Option Analytics service, which covers over 10 million options and futures contracts and 10,000 issuers. The service uses daily updates and historical data to provide end-of-day analytics and reference data for US and international exchange-listed options on equities, exchange traded funds (ETFs), equity indexes, and futures.    The service includes daily calculations of nine End of Day Options Sensitivities (Greeks – Delta, Gamma, Vega, Theta, Rho, Vanna, Volga, Speed, Lambda)  and five End of Day Implied Volatilities and Interpolated Volatility Surfaces.
