Fund administrator SGGG Fexserv has selected the Linedata Mshare transfer agency solution to support its expanding business in Malta and complement its proprietary systems.  SGGG Fexserv has been established in Malta since 2008. Taking advantage of the island’s position as a growing administrative centre, the company has increased its client base of alternative investment funds to a wide extent requiring an enhanced transfer agency system in order to allow a wider range of scenarios, reflecting the diverse needs of alternative managers. It also wanted a solution ready to meet changing industry and regulatory requirements where continuous product investment was important.
Six out of seven of IndexIQ’s Investable Hedge Fund Indices, its proprietary family of hedge fund replication and alternative beta indexes, produced negative returns in February. IQ Hedge Fixed Income Arbitrage Beta was the only index to finish the month in positive territory with a return of 1.01 per cent. The worst performer was the IQ Hedge Emerging Markets Beta Index, which was down 1.34 per cent. Eurex Clearing has expanded its suite of segregation services by offering a UK CASS-compliant Omnibus Clearing Model as an additional alternative. The new service complements the existing models – the Individual Clearing Model (ICM) and the Elementary Clearing Model (ECM). It allows UK-domiciled clearing members to use the segregation rules for client assets (CASS) of the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in respect of client margin collateral.
