The Securities and Exchange Commission has charged a Corinth, Texas man with securities fraud for soliciting more than USD3.45 million from several thousand deaf investors in an investment scheme that the SEC halted last year.

HSBC has appointed former Citadel Asset Management COO Paul Hamill Hamill as global head of prime services.
Hamill who has over 20 years of financial services experience experience with a particular focus on alternative asset management, prime brokerage and financing both from a sell and a buy side perspective, will report to Cian Burke (pictured) head of prime services and co-head of securities services, and Patrick George, global head of equities. Burke’s role at HSBC has been expanded and he will now oversee HSS, Prime Services and the firm’s OTC Clearing offering.
