Hedge funds posted their largest monthly declines since May 2010 in August, with the HFRI Fund Weighted Composite Index declining by 2.3 per cent, according to data released today by HFR.   With the August losses, year-to-date performance for the broad based composite index now stands at -1.2 per cent.
