Arden Majewski will be joining CIBC in New York on 8 August as Managing Director and Global Head of Commodities Trading.
Majewski has over 13 years of commodities trading experience and joins CIBC from a large independent energy trading firm in Houston. He has successfully designed and managed commodities trading desks, and has a record of building strong client relationships. CIBC believes that experience will help the firm continue to grow and strengthen its commodities business.
Majewski will report to Christian Exshaw, Managing Director and Head,Capital Markets Trading for the commodities trading business globally, and has local reporting accountabilities to Eric

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) has begun publishing values for the CBOE VIX Tail Hedge Index (ticker symbol: VXTH(SM)), the latest addition to a suite of CBOE strategy indexes designed to manage equity risk.
VXTH, which tracks the performance of a hypothetical S&P 500 investment portfolio protected against tail risk by using VIX calls, provides investors with a benchmark for VIX-based "tail risk" hedge strategies. Tail risk is the risk of a sudden and steep drop in the S&P index.

Singapore Exchange (SGX) is appointing Christine Lie as Senior Vice President and Head of Listings (China) effective 1 November.
Lie will lead ongoing efforts to help companies from China tap the international capital market. She will also drive efforts to provide the more than 150 China companies listed on SGX with services which will help them reach out to investors. China companies account for over 20% of SGX’s 776 listed companies as at end June. She will report to Executive Vice President & Head of Listings, Mr Lawrence Wong.
