The Rockefeller University has appointed Amy Falls as chief investment officer and vice president for investments effective April 4, 2011. Falls will oversee the University’s Office of Investments and manage the institution’s endowment, which has an estimated value of USD1.8 billion.
“Amy’s experience managing investments in the private sector coupled with her successful management of a nonprofit endowment will be crucial to continuing the scientific development of this institution,” says Paul Nurse, president of The Rockefeller University.
Falls is currently the chief investment officer for Phillips Academy (better known as Andover), which has endowment assets of nearly USD800 million.
Perella Weinberg Partners today announced that William Parkerson has joined the Firm as a Managing Director in its Corporate Advisory Group. Based in New York, Parkerson, who has nearly 20 years of investment banking experience, will focus on providing strategic and financial advice to clients in the global chemicals sector.
Parkerson was previously Managing Director and Head of Chemicals Investment Banking at Jefferies & Company. Guernsey has signed further bilateral Tax Information Exchange Agreements (TIEAs) with Canada and Romania, taking the total number of TIEAs signed by the island to 21.
On 19 January 2011 a bilateral TIEA was signed with Canada by Guernsey’s Chief Minister, Lyndon Trott.
