Anilesh Ahuja, the co-founder of hedge fund Premium Point Investments and a former trader Jeremy Shor at the firm have pleaded guilty to fraud while working at the the now-defunct business, according to a report by Bloomberg.
Neither will serve time in prison though, despite admitting that they overstated the fund’s asset values by more than $100 million and having been sentenced to a jail term in 2019.

The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) has promoted Gaone Dube from Chief Analyst to Deputy Head Investments Supervision Division, effective 1 January 2022.
Dube is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, holding the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants designation. Additionally, she is a member of several organisations including the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants and 100 Women in Finance.
Dube has over 19 years of experience in the Cayman Islands’ financial services industry. Prior to joining CIMA in 2018, she held a position at an audit firm before becoming the Deputy Head of the Fund Division at a leading fund administrator.

Insig AI plc (AIM:INSG), a data science and machine learning solutions company serving the asset management industry, has signed a development contract to supply a centralised cloud-based data infrastructure to a London-based alternative investment manager with over $1 billion of assets under management.
